Laurel G. Writes
Laurel G. writes picture book stories!
Laurel wrote I Wish They Would Come in for Tea (subtitled Making Friends with Birds), a sweet little board book story, hoping kids would fall in love with birds as much as she has.
Laurel wanted to introduce kids to fine art in a fun and exciting way, so she wrote Betcha I Can Roll that Dime All the Way Down the Guggenheim!, a fast-paced, rollicking read-aloud.
In a story called Dog Daddy, Laurel wrote about a girl who, like Laurel’s own daughter, has a father who is allergic to dogs. The girl deals with her predicament in a funny (and absurd!) way.

As a New Yorker and a lifetime birder, I want to introduce children to the magic of NYC and the enchantment of birds… and a bit of humor too!
NEW: Betcha!
By Laurel gibaldi
In this children’s picture book, Kit’s improbable bet with her best friend Jazz leads to a madcap sequence of the dime rolling down the Guggenheim’s Great Ramp, set in New York City.
What inspires me is cultivating in children a sense of wonder and curiosity about nature and introducing them to the brilliance of art and architecture.
